WHAT TO EXPECT
Yoga practice aims to re-establish our innate wholeness, our natural state of equilibrium. Ancient Chinese philosophy suggests that health and harmony are created when yin and yang aspects are in balance. When yin and yang are balanced, we return to the Dao - the center of tranquility. In this dynamic multi-layered yoga class, we will integrate both physical, movement-focused asana practices (Yang) with softer, more contemplative practices of being (Yin). This 60 minute class will begin with a series of deep stretch Yin Yoga postures to find stillness, calm the mind, and draw awareness into the physical body. After a grounding series of Yin postures, the practice will smoothly transition to a flow of dynamic Vinyasa yoga to build internal heat, strength, and mobility. The class will end with a return to stillness, leaving each individual feeling relaxed, invigorated, and refreshed. This is a free, all-levels yoga experience. Come as you are - all are welcome.
